An Artisan Bakery with strong Operational background is offering a unique opportunity for candidates for the position of Sales and Marketing Manager based in Nicosia.

Job Description

We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Manager to lead the Sales & Marketing Procedures in order to expand the business operation and ensure compliance with the business policies and standards.

The goal is to enhance customer satisfaction so that we can maintain and expand our clientele.

Job responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the General Manager develop the annual Sales Strategy in order to meet the sales targets.
    • Preparation of annual Budget and Sales & Marketing Strategy;
    • Review of POS reports (sales, costs, inventories, man hours etc.) and take corrective actions to meet the sales and costs targets;
    • Conclude wholesale contracts (pricing, logistics etc.); and
    • Include marketable/profitable retail products in the Bakery.
  • Actively promote the Bakery brand in the area through marketing.
    • In collaboration with the General Manager develop quarterly Marketing Plans based on the approved Budget; and
    • Organize Events and Competitions, Social Media management, Loyalty cards etc.
  • Accountable for the management of the front of the house/sales area of the bakery on a day to day basis, ensure that the correct standards and results are in place if not; to take corrective action (haccp, orders, packaging, to have a tide shop, prepare customer service schedule etc.).
    • maintain customer service staff discipline and take necessary action where appropriate, follow company procedures (uniforms, personal hygiene, attitude);
    • ensure customer service staff appraisals and ongoing training are completed to time and in compliance both with relevant legislation and company procedures, to also ensure that development solutions are in place as appropriate (suggest training needs for staff to GM);
    • recruit and train Customer Service staff and Supervisors; and
    • actively manage throughout the bakery company standards of customer service, cleanliness, ensuring that customers have a consistent and enjoyable experience and actively respond to customers complaints
  • Cash and Stock Management.
    • organise in advance and execution of monthly cash and stock counts, report the results to the management and to our accountants;
    • review the daily closing executed by Supervisors based on the POS reports and the daily cash count;
    • daily deposits and any other bank needs; and
    • take appropriate actions that the stock is secured, execute surprised visits and stock counts.

Qualifications:

  • superior leadership and sales and marketing skills;
  • enthusiasm and commitment;
  • multitasking;
  • minimum 2-3 years experience in similar position in food and beverage;
  • an understanding of profit and loss accounts and how to increase profitability through budgeting;
  • effective planning and organization skills; and
  • knowledge of POS systems and Microsoft Office.
